I know they said that the City didn't want to give out the exact location because they didn't want folks going out on their own to gather trash. I wonder if they'll get an archaeologist involved? Trash heaps are great historical records.Heather/Ronin's Gal----- Original Message -----From: Maria "theJump"Sent: Sunday, March 29, 2009 9:42 AMSubject: [CentralTexasGeocachers] Caches at Risk??
So there is some information that has been going through the local biking community that I wanted to share here. Apparently, there is an old landfill approximately 3 acres in size somewhere between the Toys R Us and the access to the Barton Creek Greenbelt at 360. There is some confusion about exactly where but the city has decided that it needs to be cleaned up after learning about it's existence in the 1980s!!
Now I don't know what caches this will affect ... possibly GCZTT7 and others?? At any rate I wanted to alert the caching community and make them aware as well!
