It *might* work as long as that info is ON the bug. If it s online, not a chance ... because I, who actually does read goals, don t read em until I log em.

For what the obvious is worth.

I think, just for the fun of it, my next travel bug will have a goal to sit alone in a geocache forever and ever, never to move, never to have its picture taken, and never to visit interesting places or meet fun people :)  Then we can see who really reads the travel bug's goal page afterall (I hardly ever do) :)
Speaking of travel bugs, has anyone seen the Rubik's Cube travel bug #2 lately?  It was last seen in Hill Country Bounty?  (TBNCEE, http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=226409 )

I would disagree here.  Each TB owner has their own purpose for putting the TB out there.  Some want to just have pictures of their TB at wherever it ends up.  Some want to get to a specific location.  Logging a TB in and out at one event does nothing to get it to it's goal unless that goal is just lots of logs and I doubt there are many TBs with that goal.  I think a TB's reason for being is to travel!   I don't log or pick up a TB unless I know I can help with it's goal.  But that's just me.

I thought logs from various people was the POINT of Travel Bugs, same event or no....
But every one's mileage differs.... and you rip what you sew.... er....

I was little upset about this then I decided to email the TB owner for the explanation. Here is his explanation:

Nothing against you personally...  Maybe it's a regional thing but I see that multiple people are logging my TB into and out of the same event.  The only things being accumulated are pages of loggings and dozens of e-mails in my account but no mileage.  Some bug owners might not mind this but it isn't for this purpose that I bought & launched my TB.  I deleted all except the 1st & last logs in an attempt to reduce clutter on the page.  I realize that this will probably upset the person who currently has the bug and that it'll probably disappear permanently as a result.  Oh well...

I understand him for this.  Just be aware of that.  Perhaps, we should exchange actual TBs  at the next events.
