      Just,

I'm going to do a bit of geocaching tomorrow (Sunday) and I don't think my wife (The Tygress) is going to be able to make it.  Want to meet me somewhere in North Austin / Round Rock and do a few?

Let me know, I'll check my e-mail tomorrow morning before taking off (NOT early! <G>) or call me at 512.557.8523 (you will probably need to dial the 512.)

Ok. This is my cache and I will dispell all the rumors. I live downtown on UT campus and wanted to hurry into the hobby. My friend owns a house in a neighborhood, and she agreed to let me place the cache there. It's not this is down some dark alley, I noted it was on private property and made all the neighbors aware. I must admit I was totally taken aback by all the paranoia. Several people have already found the cache, as my friend reported to me. Thank you to those people for not thinking I'm some evil nerd killer. (yes, I'm a nerd too)

Could be just someone who's eager to get started, but there are enough red flags that I wouldn't go there alone myself.  After several people have found it, I would feel lots better.  Right now, they are anticipating a FTF rushing right over.  Later, they couldn't anticipate when I will show up.

I have to say that in most cases, its not a good idea to put something on your own property.  And if you do, it's nice to post a GC.com logo in your window or whatever to give people a sign that they're in the right place.

Not to be paranoid but it also looks like it is in their front yard.?  How would anyone know what geocaching is all about if they had not even found one yet?

Hey Gang, this new cache just came up.  The notes say its on private
property, the cache owner's.  According to this profile, this person has
no finds and only this one hide.  I'm not saying that there's anything
weird going on here, its just that I would proceed with caution (if you
know caution and he's available, and with a buddy if you don't.)

I guess I'm just a little skittish after recent events!
      Take care,
      Julie
