Subject: [CentralTexasGeocachers] Bikes, Bluebonnets and Pie!
Friends, the weather is looking BEAUTIFUL for the Bikes, Bluebonnets and Pie family biking event I'm throwing out in the bluebonnet fields near Marble Falls this Saturday. If you haven't seen it, check out GCN197. There is absolutely no requirement that you be a great bike rider, or even own a bike. Enjoy the route at your own pace and then meet up for pie afterward. The bike part starts at 1 pm and the pie eating starts at 3:30 at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. I'll have coordinates posted for the pie soon.
The roads we will ride on are very safe, very flat and very scenic. We'll also have a "SAG" wagon to haul you back to your car if you run into problems. Everyone will be riding at their own pace and distance. I don't expect that we will all stay together for the entire ride. If you don't have a bike, you're still welcome to join us at the cafe for pie. Spandex not required, (or desired, in many cases!)
Bluebonnets should be out in force this weekend, and it will be a wonderful time to go geocaching before and after the event. Make a day out of it!
Please let me know you are coming by posting an RSVP to the cache page!
See you Saturday,
