During the CITO, they said that if we came by a challenge cache, to pick it up and bring it back. I don't think all of them were picked up, but I do know that based on where many of them were compared to the existing caches, there would be a lot of challenge caches that would not have been approved.

I think the announcement before the challenge that the caches that get published would be loggable by everyone at the challenge was to get us more excited about finding the caches. And I imagine StoneSwivel didn't hide them all himself, he wouldn't be the publisher to make that call.

This leaves me to think that if any of them get published, it will be on an individual basis, and who knows when.

Point of clarification -- ALL the Fredericksburg (Texas Challenge 09) were 'live' -- and most still are!

[The Competitive Challenge caches were more an orienteering course.]

Anyway, as for the San Angelo situation -- I heard that was the case, but don't know any more than the rumor.

There were comments made at the Texas Challenge that some of the caches hidden for the challenge would become live. Cachers finding them could claim a smiley for finding them during the challenge. Prior challenges caches were just for that event. Has anyone heard if any of these caches in San Angelo could be logged outside the challenge?
