      Hi,
Apparently, a trio called Oisre (pronounced AUSH-ruh and
meaning "Oyster") is planning a tour to the northwest in November.
They are looking for some gigs. Has anyone heard them? Can you
      recommend them?

Apparently, Oisre includes Zac Leger, formerly of the band, Sigean.
He competed in Ireland's Fleadh Cheoil Na Eireann, the All-Ireland
Championships. Zac recently took first place in this year's NY City
Fleadh in the over 18 piping category and also qualified on two other
instruments, flute and whistle. There's more about Zac at:
      http://www.geocities.com/zac_leger/bio.html
Uillean pipes are a very difficult instrument! He plays a bunch of
      other instruments too.

      Oisre's website is: http://www.geocities.com/oisre1/main.html
Only their "bios" are currently on-line there. They are a trio. 18-yr-
old Julian Lambertson plays fiddle, flute and whistles. Sean
Sutherland is the string guy and singer. Note that Sean "has twice
won All-American Irish Fleadh competitions on guitar and holds
several titles on mandolin as well."

In Nov., I'm already getting pretty booked up and am also producing a
show on Wed., Nov 10th in Roseburg, OR for Kim "Viollin Voyager"
Angelis and Josef "Wild Hungarian" Gault. See
http://www.skysong.com/ But I'll drop Zac a note to see exactly
      when they'll be passing through.

      See ya.
      Joe
