- Nominations are now being taken for our annual Toonie Award. The artist must have some contact with the Pacific Northwest, ie: lives here, lived here, born here, work or was published here, or some kind of connection here.Nominate your favorite cartoonist(s) by emailing CartoonistsNW@.... Nominees may be in any category like: Advertising, Animation, Humorous Illustration, Gag Panels, Caricatures, Comic Strips, Drawn Books, etc, etc.. A contact email or web site for the nominee is required. All nominations must be received by March 30th 2016. The Toonie Awards Banquet is Saturday April 30th at the China Harbor Restaurant on Lake Union.
