World's fastest human
- This past Monday Canadian Sam Whittingham screamed passed
the long standing goal of 75 mph for a vehicle powered by
a person's muscles. A second run during legal wind
conditions within 5% of that velocity is still needed
before 76.6 mph can be ratified as an official world record.

The WHPSC event will continue through October 6th, 2001.
It's been rather exciting to follow as a virtual spectator
witnessing what brain power and muscle power alone can
achieve. There still a chance one of the competitors
will pull off something rather incredulous in the
next 3 days. Evolution!
