          Noble Bud,
          Humblest Greetings.

Many thanks to you for your Happy Wishes for our people in India.
Surely it would work. But we are unfortunate to be untouchable
humanists in the country so deserved all sorts of persecution and we
see ours this disqualification couldn't be reduced. We had been
educating ourselves to feel happy in all these untouchable and
persecuted situations. But the recent aggression is lessened as
friends from overseas questioned Authorities in our country about
all these unjust things happened with us.

Hoping you in good health and high spirits we remain to listen from
          you.

            Noble Mr. Bud,
            Humblest Greetings from India.

So kind of you to show your sense of concern for our situations
here. We imagine, if our Indian Humanist Community would have a
similar heart and mind then we wouldn't be treated in the way we had
been being. Unfortunately our Indian Humanist Community treat us as
untouchables and taboos. But we don't get disappointed of such
treatment as we know about our age-old culture. We simply feel happy
in this situation with the view that we are not thrown out of the
community. In the Indian tradition the untouchables are also
considered as the part of the community they belong to. There are
hindu untouchables, muslim untouchables, christian untouchables,
sikh untouchables and similarly we are humanist untouchables.
Untouchables are the people who are suggested/treated to remain in a
distance from the touchables and then can enjoy the grace of the
            community they belong to.

Sometimes they are scolded and beaten. When a hindu untouchable or
muslim untouchable or a christian untouchable get persecuted by any
hindu/muslim/christian touchable then the touchables from all
denominations together enjoy the persecution. Also a similar way of
treatment is observed by us while our Indian Big/mighty humanists
were enjoying our persecution by the uppermost hindu priestly
touchable caste Brahmins were persecuting us to drive us away from
this doubly holy town Kurukshetra, by beating us including our women
associates and kids; snatching our belongings, threatening to kill
us, kidnap the kids and kill, rape the school going girls and women
associates and smashing everything to make us a nonexistent and
despite of our cry, prayer and appeal to our Indian Umbrella
Organization for Humanists, rationalists and freethinkers:
the "Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations" to help us at
least by writing to the Authorities to dispense justice and provide
security to us; a proposal was suggested by the Punjab and Haryana
Rationalist Associations in FIRA National Conference in Pune, India
in April 2007 for ousting us from the Org. Many thanks to FIRA's
National Secretary who asked for a written complaint that they
couldn't produce. Appeal to the IHEU also didn't work.

Your kindest suggestion to move to Canada with all our kids is very
good but doesn't look possible because of many reasons. On December
28, 2007 we re-began our construction work of the Orphanage-School
despite of certain Atrocities which could be avoided. With all Best
Wishes of our sympathizers all over we will remain struggling here
to examine the capacity and truliness of our National Constitution
and its promises for the Individual Sovereignty, Freedom of every
individual as the citizens of this Secular, Socialistic and
Humanistic Republic. India is a declared secular country promised
freedom from every type of discrimination where very few people
could have educated themselves to go beyond discrimination who are
            rare and exceptions.

We are proud of our friends abroad who have been morally supporting
us making our determination bolder to pull on with our secular
growth of mentality and Humanism in practice.

So many thanks to you all again and again for this supportive
            viewpoint and boosting.

            Cordially,
            Swamiji

Well, it is a shame that things are pretty rough over there! I am
glad that the international attention might have helped to reduce
the persecution! It is such a big world! We have only 33 million
people in Canada, so we are not much of a force, but we try to help
out sometimes. In some countries, like China, or even India, the
people of Canada could all move there, and no-one would notice such
            a small increase!

But, we haven't really got much in the way of "untouchables" over
here, although some of the Native indigenous aboriginal people
(called "Indians"! sometimes) do have poverty and rather bad
conditions, in some places. Mostly remote areas which are neglected.
Lots of action in the cities, and a lot of racial diversity.

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Canadian

Lots of people from India here in Toronto! We used to rent a house
from a guy who studied Astrophysics around the time of
Chandrasekhar, in India, and I also have a Physics and Astronomy
degree, so we had some good talks.

This guy's daughter is a TV star here!

I had at least one Computer Teacher at college who was right over
from India, but there have been some people from India who have been
here for decades or centuries. We had a doctor visit us from India
in 1962, on a government program, when I lived in the far north, and
he stayed for a month I think it was, to see how my father, Doctor
Skinner, did medicine in the remote north. We kept in touch for
            decades.

So, I would suggest that you and the orphans all move to Canada! But
it might not be that easy I guess! However, there is a lot of
construction and building in Toronto, and lots of people are coming
here! Outside the cities is nice also, but there is a lot of work to
            be found around here!

We could sure use more humanists! I think that there are anti-
discrimination laws here, but the reason that Toronto works so well
is: There are a few thousand people from EACH country here. Everyone
is from somewhere else. There can't BE discrimination, because there
            are 200 ethnic groups.

Thanks, the health is holding, and Gymnastics and Trampoline Classes
start Tuesday, so that should keep the health together and the
spirits high! Incidentally, if you can get or make any Gymnastics
equipment for your Kids, they will really appreciate it! You can
make a High Bar and some Mats. You can make Parallel Bars. Children
            should all do Gymnastics!

So good luck, and always great to hear from you!
