  • I am fond of Gelosia, Scotch Cap, and Petit Riens. As for what's common (and not actually popular, mind), Sellinger's Round, Korobushka, and probably any number of fairly easy ECDs. -Constantia K. --- In CalontirDance@^$1, "Sauer, Michael F." wrote: > > Hi all > > I'm looking to put together a list of dances. > > What are your personal favorite 3 dances? > What do you think are 3...

  • Alegreza lives up around my area (that's that extreme northwestern part of Missouri, for those playing along at home), as does Alessandra. I could find a spot to host dance practice, but no guarantees if I'd have people come. (One of the hazards of living in the wilds of the kingdom - things are really spread out.) I'll try and get Alegreza and Norata on the list, though, as I'm...

  • My experience was incredibly good, and yes, I do think a Caroso-style ball is a great idea. Breaks were adequate, and yes, the index cards were, I think, an inspired touch. Even if you could alternate between years (a Caroso one year and then the format we used last year), I think it could work well in a lot of aspects. That's just me, though. -Constantia K. --- In CalontirDance...

  • I'll post it. No prob. And, even though Missouri law forbids it, how about Kingdom law? I'm sure we could supersede some things. :P -Constantia Kaloethes --- In CalontirDance@^$1, "mateoalanohombrealtopezold" wrote: > > Thanks to Ewen of Bellewode's diligence and the VERY prompt reply of > the Kingdom Reeve, I am proud to announce that Bellewode is planning > on holding their...

  • I also second Confesse. It's one of the lesser-known ones (isn't it?) and it'd be a great teaching opportunity. -Constantia K. --- In CalontirDance@^$1, "Cathus and Rowan" wrote: > > Some of the more popular English Country dances we've done are > Confesse, Mage on a Cree, and Bobbing Jo (the 'snap and change' one). > :-) > > I'd wouldn't mind seeing more choices on the Coroso list...
