WELCOME. This site will give you construction updates on the California High Speed Rail. Also the Transbay Transit Center under construction in San Francisco. Dates can change.

California High Speed Rail (San Francisco to Los Angeles to San Diego)
GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY was January 6, 2015 in Fresno. Sustained construction has begun and work on the first major segment, Madera to Fresno will begin this April. Construction of this segment and Fresno to Bakersfield must be completed by September 30, 2017 or risk losing the federal money.
The Fresno HSR station will be built at Mariposa Street, between Kern and Fresno St.
25% Cap-and-Trade revenue from a gas tax will help to accelerate construction.
From LA to SF, the one-way ticket price will be $81. The trip will take 2 hours, 40 minutes at speeds up to 220 mph.
Segments will open for ridership. This generates revenue.
One-seat ride Merced, Fresno, Bakersfield, Palmdale in 2022.
One-seat ride San Jose to San Fernando Valley in 2026.
One-seat ride San Francisco to Los Angeles to Anaheim 2029.
Future: From Anaheim to Ontario to San Diego. From Merced to Sacramento.

Transbay Transit Center - In 2015, construction of Transit Center above ground superstructure continues and construction on the Bus Storage Facility begins. Structural steel assembly process to be completed in mid-2016. Completion of Phase One: Autumn 2017.
