So........ I've had this pair eyeballing each other in their bowls for a long time now and finally over break had a chance to set them up. Have things all ready for fry etc if it works out, and they're in a 30G with the water down low so I won't have to move any fry for a good long time. :)

They started spawning this morning (or overnight) and both are young & inexperienced.

Just thought it'd be funny to report the poor fella's having a lot more luck stunning himself, than her.

No eggs falling yet that I can see. And she keeps running off to the other side of the tank for a while with a frustrated, "Hmph!!"

      LOL

Though he's stunned her twice that I noticed, it's not "enough" for the eggs to move yet I guess. Can't help him figure it out really (or her!) ... she may be a little too big around for him may be the problem, that or she won't hold still :-D but he looks like he should be able to manage her, gauging from when he's folded himself in half.

So... we may have pretty red Christmas fry :) ... or we may have a pair having a great time on holiday is all :-D
They haven't torn each other up either, it's been pretty mellow.
