      If you could add it to Odonata Central for vetting, that would be wonderful. Sometimes folks find that site cumbersome, and if you don't have time to add it, I can do so for you.

        A number of Black Spreadwings have been in the northeast area of Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz for the last few days.  I first saw and tentatively identified them on May 26 and again on May 28, and was able to see and photograph more confirming details today (May 30).  There do not appear to be any previous records for Santa Cruz County, though they are listed for all the surrounding counties.  I did see a few Lestes spreadwings in exactly this area of the park in May 2009, but was not able to identify them to species, so this may be a regular spot for these.   Some photos of the spreadwings from this week are at the following link (the first five photos in the gallery):
