I’m looking at a 74 Eldo and just wanted to verify that all 74 500’s came with the 493 heads and that the chamber size is 120cc meaning that the 74’s had flat-top pistons. TIA. -jd

Jim, The only 472/500 that has true flat tops is the odd ball 74, because it uses 120cc heads [as do all 74-76 500s]. All 68- 73 472s and 70- 73 500s use

        Jim,

The only 472/500 that has true flat tops is the odd ball '74, because
        it uses 120cc heads [as do all 74-76 500s]. All '68-'73 472s and '70-
        '73 500s use 76cc.

Your '74 500 should have a very small dish. If it is indeed a 500,
        that is.

I knew what you meant. I wasn t entirely clear either. All I really wanted to verify was that the 74 500 s had 120cc heads. Consider that done. -jd
