Bearers of Distance, an anthology published by Eastern Point Press
(http://www.easternpointlithouse.com/) and edited by Jenn Monroe and
Martin Elwell, will feature work written by poets who run. All
contributors must current or former runners. Please (briefly) describe
your running history in your cover note. Poems should be inspired by
running but do not need to be "about" running. For example, use running
as a metaphor, or describe something seen while out on a run. Please
submit no more than five (5) poems. While we are most interested in new
work, previously published work will be considered if the author holds
the rights. It is the author's responsibility to obtain all information
needed to credit the original publisher.

Submissions that fail to meet guidelines will be withdrawn un-read.

After covering the cost of publication, 50 percent of all sales will go
to The One Fund to support victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy.
Because this project is founded with charitable intentions,
contributors will not receive free copies. Instead, all contributors
will be encouraged to buy a copy of the book--most likely at a discount
during a pre-sale--to help support the cause.

Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, July 31, 2013 through
      our online submission manager
      (https://bearersofdistance.submittable.com/submit).
