      Job Description:
      The Department of English at Shippensburg University invites applications for a full-time one-year position in Creative Writing-Poetry beginning August 2013. The 4/4 course load will include two sections each semester of first-year college writing, as well as courses in poetry writing and general education literature. An MFA or PhD from an accredited institution is required by the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching and professional activity including published poetry (preferably a book).

A successful on-campus interview is required and will include a demonstration of teaching effectiveness and evidence of a commitment to understanding diverse populations.
