The English Department at Wesleyan University seeks applicants for a three-year visiting fiction writer position to begin in fall 2013. Teaching responsibilities include two courses per semester in beginning through advanced fiction writing, as well as literature courses. The successful candidate will also advise two theses per semester, attend the Writing at Wesleyan Reading Series, and be a part of a growing, lively undergraduate concentration in creative writing.
This is a multi-year position. The person hired will, as such, be eligible for renewal on an annual basis based on performance.
The candidate should be a published fiction writer, an experienced teacher, and have a terminal degree in creative writing (MFA or PhD).
