      Willet Press is anindependent press based in Syracuse, New York. Willet Press refuses toaccept contest submissions from writers who are personally acquainted with the publisher.Authors who do have personal connections of this nature are asked to send aquery letter for general publication instead.

      Editors' PrizeGuidelines:

      -The winner willreceive a $100 honorarium and publication with Willet Press as well as 40complimentary copies of the book. Additional copies can be purchased at adiscounted price.

      -This contest isopen to anyone, except personal friends, colleagues or former students of theeditors.

      -Multiplesubmissions are accepted as long as each manuscript is submitted individuallywith separate reading fees.

      -All entrieswill be considered for publication.

      -Submit 20-32pgs, including title page, contents, short bio, and acknowledgements. Limit1 poem per page. All type must be Ariel or Times New Roman 11pt. Allpoems must be single spaced.

      -Entry Fee: $10

          Willet Press offers two different poetry chapbook publishing opportunities. One is a year-round open reading, The second is an annual chapbook contest in June. For details go to: willetpoetrypress.com  

          The chapbook prize is $100 plus 30 copies.

          Here are the rules: 

          Submissions begin June 1 and end on June 30. 

          There is a $10 reading fee for the chapbook contest. For an extra $2 you can get a copy of the winning collection.

          Poetry chapbooks books published. 20-32 pgs, limit one poem per page, including title page, contents, short bio, and acknowledgements. 

          No page numbers. 

          All type must be Ariel or Times New Roman 11pt. If you have a note or a quote, those will be Ariel or Times New Roman 8pt.

          Single spacing.

          Include your name, address, and email in the title section of the manuscript. Do not send a SASE; No manuscripts will be returned. Do not send by certified mail. The first and second place winners will be contacted by their email address.

          If your manuscript is selected, you will be requested to send a final, edited version via email. Your manuscript will be hand-sewn, printed in limited editions.
