The Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in creative writing with a primary specialization in fiction. In a department offering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in writing, rhetoric, and literature, commitments to teaching excellence and to sustained creative/research work and publication are expected. We seek a colleague with a sustained interest in publishing fiction who will commit to teaching five courses per year and contribute to creative writing programming (e.g., student events, a literary journal, writing awards, and scholarships). Candidates must have published (or be under contract for) at least one book of fiction. Only candidates with an M.F.A. or Ph.D. in hand will be considered.
