assist/assoc prof sought in fiction: Truman State
- English: Assistant/Associate Professor of English. Truman State University, Missouri's highly-selective, public liberal arts and sciences university, is conducting a tenure-track search for an assistant or associate professor to share the teaching of a broad range of courses at all levels in a vibrant creative writing program and English department. Responsibilities include teaching full-time, committee work, and advising and mentoring writers at the undergraduate and graduate level. Expertise in fiction, a strong publication record, evidence of teaching effectiveness at college level, and a Doctorate in English (or Creative Writing) or M.F.A. in Creative Writing in hand by date of appointment (August 2012) are required. Evidence of pedagogical and professional activity in screen writing, experience with interdisciplinary work, and experience with course development are desirable.
