Tawdry Bawdry, an internet (approximately) quarterly journal reveling in all things sexual, is accepting submissions for our upcoming August 15 edition. While we always read everything, we are especially looking for stories, poems, and essays that reek of summer. More specifically, a recent trip to the county fair has us contemplating the overwhelming physicality of strapping yourself into a mechanical device designed to throw you and spin you while holding you down. We would love to see our inbox flooded with writing that is rooted in that total surrender to sensation.
Check us out at www.tawdrybawdry.com to get a sense of the kinds of things that make us happy enough to publish. Submit your (proofread) work to
      <submissions(at)tawdrybawdry.com> (replace (at) with @)

Stories, poems, essays and art are all welcome. Please just be smart, brave, and make us think new thoughts with your submissions. Send us the things we didn't know we were looking for before they arrived in our inbox. Of course, please be mindful that we are not interested in anything that might land you in jail... Thank you.

Tawdry Bawdry, a bi-monthly journal of all things sexual, is seeking submissions
for our October 15th issue. Since this is our first Halloween, we are happy to
go for the obvious: sexually adventurous ghosts, masquerade mishaps, zombies
with an undead appetite for love... you get the picture.

As usual, our tastes run toward the unexpected. Send us poems and stories that
wouldn't fly elsewhere because there is just a little too much honesty in them
(and we don't mean the kind of honesty that would get you arrested in real
life). Take the time to read what we've published in the past to get a sense of
what it is we are looking for: www.tawdrybawdry.com.

Please send all submissions to <submissions(at)tawdrybawdry.com> (replace (at) with @ in sending e-mail).

We want essays, short stories, poems, flash fiction... we'll look at it all so long as
it is included in the body of the e-mail (no attachments, please) and is
accompanied by a brief author bio. If you would prefer to use a pseudonym,
        please let us know.

        Thank you for submitting!

Tawdry Bawdry, a bi-monthly journal of all things sexual, is seeking submissions
for our December 15th issue. Our themes are loose at best, but as everyone else
is off celebrating the Virgin Birth with Eggnog and copious quantities of
commercialism, we are contemplating the other Mary. This theme started with
Meshell Ndegeocello's Mary Magdalene, which is one of the sexiest songs ever and
is consistent with our aesthetic here at TB. Interpret the theme as you like,
ignore it, or send us work about the intersection between spirit and sex, the
beauty of what we do to get by, the sacred whore, temple virgins, or what it
might mean to Christianity if Jesus really did run off to France with Mary
          Magdalene.

Tawdry Bawdry, a bi-monthly journal of all things sexual, is seeking submissions for our upcoming issues: Be Mine for the 14 February edition and Fantasy Lovers for our 15th April Edition. Our themes are loose at best, so interpret them as you will.
