      The South Carolina Review’s FORTIETH-ANNIVERSARY POETRY CONTEST

      $500 PRIZE FOR FIRST PLACE
      Deadline: Entries must be postmarked by
      March 15, 2008.

      One winning poem will be awarded $500, and two
      runners-up will receive $100 and
      $50, respectively. Winning poems and selected fi
      nalists will be published in the Fall
      2008 issue. Entries must be original,
      unpublished, and not have won a monetary
      award in other contests.
      Guidelines
      Number and Page Restrictions: Send one copy of up
      to four poems (ten pages
      maximum). On a cover page, include name, address,
      phone number, and title(s) of
      your poem(s). All poems submitted for the contest
      must be anonymous. Include
      SASE.
      Entry Fee: A $15 entry fee (checks made out to
      Clemson University) covers the
      cost of up to four poems (ten pages maximum). 
      A $26 entry fee covers the cost of
      up to four poems (ten pages maximum) and also
      includes a one-year subscription
      to SCR (value $26), or an extension of a current
      subscription, or a gift subscription
      for a friend. Please indicate your choice and a
      current address for subscriptions and
      gift subscriptions in your cover letter. Multiple
      entries will be allowed, provided
      that each contains a separate entry fee, cover
      letter, and SASE.

      Entries arriving by email or FAX will not be
      considered. Any

          Clemson University and The South Carolina Review offer a poetry contest for any
          poet writing in English. Matthew Dickman, author of All-American Poem, will
          judge. The deadline is March 15, 2010. The winning poet will receive $500 and an
          invitation to read at the Clemson Literary Festival in April. Two runners-up
          will receive $100 and $50, respectively. Selected poems will be published in
          the Fall 2010 issue. Entries must be original, unpublished and not have won a
          monetary award in other contests. Send up to four poems (ten pages maximum),
          without any identifying information on the poems, along with a cover letter,
          SASE and $20 entry fee to The South Carolina Review Poetry Contest, 611 Strode
