Winners of this year’s contest will be published in our special
anniversary double-issue celebrating the 25th anniversary of our MFA
program and the 150th anniversary of Louisiana State University.
Named for Matt Clark, beloved teacher and coordinator of creative
writing at Louisiana State University, who died of colon cancer at the
age of 31, the Matt Clark Prize literary competition awards
achievement in both fiction and poetry.
Prize: $250 in each genre and publication in New Delta Review.
Finalists will also be considered for publication.
Deadline: February 5th.
Multiple submissions and simultaneous submissions are welcome.
$10 submission fee for either contest includes option to purchase
discounted one-year subscription to New Delta Review for an additional
$10. That's one-third off the regular subscription price!
More information and entry forms are available at our website:
We read regular submissions year-round (though more slowly in the
summer). Thanks for submitting!
