The next issue of Another Chicago Magazine will focus on Chicago writers.

In the spirit of mentioning as many authors working in Chicago today as possible, the review editor is running a section of flash reviews. If you would like to contribute and are living in the Chicago-area, please write one sentence on a book of poetry, CNF, or Fiction that was published in 2008-10 by a Chicago writer and send it to <jacobsknabb(at)gmail.com> (replace (at) with @). Include the name of the book, the genre, the author, and the publisher (and, if you have it handy, the number of pages) by this Saturday, Jan 10. The sentence should rely more on specifics than adjectives (a hard task I know for a sentence) and be no longer than 40 words. Not a lot of time, but not a lot of words either.
