The Department of English at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in creative writing with an emphasis in creative nonfiction. Special consideration will be given to those applicants who have expertise and a publishing record in a second genre in creative writing. This appointment will begin in August 2010.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate writing courses in creative nonfiction, introduction to creative writing, and writing courses in the applicant's second area of expertise.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. or MFA, successful undergraduate teaching experience, a significant record of publication, and an understanding and commitment to support the mission of the University.
