        * Hannah Wilson lived and wrote in Eugene, Oregon, where for twenty years she
taught high school English and Humanities and trained for marathons in the
rain. Hannah Wilson never shrank from speaking out against injustice in any
realm of human interaction.  She led protests, marched, walked, ran, phoned,
picketed...demanding attention to what she thought was right and encouraging
students, friends, and family to think.  Her writing is imbued with examples of her
lifelong commitment to witnessing and speaking out.

The Eugene-Springfield Chapter honors Hannah with this category and invites
poets to accept the challenge to look without blinking. More Info on Hannah
