The New Hampshire Writers’ Project is now accepting nominations for the 2007
New Hampshire Literary Awards in these categories:
Outstanding Work of Fiction
Jane Kenyon Award for Outstanding Book of Poetry
Outstanding Work of Nonfiction
The Donald M. Murray Outstanding Journalism Award
Outstanding Work of Children’s Literature
Awards will be presented on November 17, 2007 at Southern New Hampshire
University in Manchester, NH. The Jane Kenyon and Donald M. Murray awards each
carry a cash prize of $500.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for an award, nominees must 1) live in New
Hampshire or 2) be a New Hampshire native or 3) deal with subject matter that is
deemed by judges to be inherently connected to New Hampshire.
Nominations are encouraged and welcome from everyone, including writers,
publishers, organizations, and the general public. Self-nominations are also
welcome (see exceptions in online guidelines at www.nhwritersproject.org).
Nominations will be accepted only for work published in a first edition after
July 1, 2005. Self-published works will be considered. Books nominated must
be published (printed, not photocopied) with at least 200 copies in print.
All nominations must include four copies of the book or work nominated. This
requirement is waived only for the Lifetime Achievement Award. In some cases,
publishers may provide a nominator with these copies, but it is the
responsibility of the nominator to obtain four copies before submitting the nomination
form to NHWP. Books will not be returned, nor will copies of published

submission must include a $35 administrative fee payable to NHWP. For complete
