- University of Missouri-St. Louis. The MFA Program seeks a distinguished visiting poet for the spring semester of 2010. The visitor will teach two classes: the graduate poetry workshop & a class of his or her choice, which can be an advanced undergraduate class or another graduate class. The visitor also will give at least one reading (on or off campus), attend the student & faculty readings, hold office hours, serve on thesis committees if asked, & mentor & work with our graduate students. We seek a writer with at least one book, substantial journal publications, & teaching experience. Applicants with full- or part-time teaching positions, including low-residency programs, must be on leave during the term of the appointment. Include one copy of one published volume, & enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your book returned; unreturned volumes will be placed in the English Department reading room.
