The Professional Writing Program, English Department, at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Creative Writing: Drama beginning August 2009. The position includes teaching classes in creative writing with a specialty in playwriting. The successful candidate will teach playwriting, develop courses in scriptwriting and/or screenwriting, and may have the opportunity to develop graduate-level creative writing courses.
Composition and other creative or professional writing classes are also part of this 4/4 teaching load, as is undergraduate academic advising. Ph.D. preferred, ABD may be considered, MFA considered. Successful candidates should have at least three years of college teaching experience, training in writing for stage and/or screen, and a significant body of work that has been produced or published.
