The English Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in Creative Writing-Fiction beginning August 26, 2008.
MFA in Creative Writing or Ph.D. in Creative Writing-Fiction required. Ability to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate creative writing courses, undergraduate and graduate literature courses, and freshman composition, and perform other administrative responsibilities as assigned. Publications in fiction required, with significant publications in the past three to five years. Must be able to teach graduate writing seminars and craft courses on the novel and short story, and serve on theses in the Northeast Ohio MFA, a consortium of four universities including The University of Akron. Teaching load is 3/3. Salary is competitive.
