Easy TNR volunteer opp: blockwalking on Saturdays
- The San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition has four TNR (trap-neuter-return) street banners up in high-priority areas of town and is going to blockwalk with educational materials several Saturdays in September and October. This is a two-hour commitment with no long orientation or training involved, so PLEASE email Mary Abbott (mnabbott@...) to let her know which day you'll help.

Subject: [CPR] It has taken a whileRemember that starting way back in Nov 2005 we all said "we need bill boards!" "we need owner education!" "we need door to door contact".Well it is happening. Thanks to WRR and Dr. Craig Brestrup, who found a feral cat loving donor, SAFCC has 4 TNR street banners up--cheaper than bill boards and reusable. And we have enough attractive colored educational materials for 2000 NW homes. Starting this Saturday we will be going door to door in 2 zip 78228 neighborhoods. That is one of those 9 neighborhoods that RPOAis always saying causes all these animal problems. I live in 78228 by the way. It is not the armpit of San Antonio. We could use a little help, however. We are looking for a few good volunteers to help distribute our materials from 9:30 to 11:30 on the following Saturdays:Sept 15--this coming SaturdaySept 22Oct 6Oct 13.If you are available on any or all these dates and want to help the kitty cats, let me hear from you. Volunteers will get tee shirts as well as exercise. And SAFCC will love you forever. and you will have fun also.Mary
