This may help you. Check out a U-tube video from Mike'sRadioRepair. He has several videos on CPI equipment and one on a CPI that is stuck on a channel.

CP300 stuck on frequency

Just picked up a CP300 in good shape however has an issue. AM/LSB is stuck on 27.775. USB seems to be fine. TP8 shows -7 volts, service manual calls for -8v.

The plug wiring should not matter between hot and neutral. The .01 disc caps are for FCC RF emissions compliance. They have no effect on actual operation. 500
