Place a DMM between ground and the center terminal of the clarifier (R512) and see if the voltage changes after 20 minutes or so. Some CB shop may have jumped

Quartz crystals age (drift) in center frequency by a ratio of 10's: the drift in the first day = the next 10 days =100 days =1000 days, etc., as they are

I would think 150hz from a cold ON is quite normal or BETTER then normal for a 40 year old radio of this design. My CPI-2000 drifts the same till warmup with

I would check and adjust the 10 volt power supply regulator, a .25 volt difference will move the clarifier over 150hz. Its ok to adjust it at 9.5 or 10.5 as

I forgot to mention that on power up, my unit is about 200Hz high on USB and 100Hz high on LSB both TX & RX, and settles down after 10-15 minutes or so. One of
