Group Description

Welcome to the NAC !

Our GUIDING PRINCIPLES include Inclusiveness, Democracy, and Helpfulness.

Our VISION is to see classic-style table hockey regarded by the public as a skilled sport* and the most prestigious table hockey games to be associated with and proficient at playing.

Our MISSION is to promote classic table hockey throughout Canada and the United States, and to ignite a rebirth of classic-style table hockey interest, leagues and tournaments throughout North America.

Our STRATEGY seeks and invites Canadians and Americans who share a similar vision and mission to collaborate and coordinate aggressively promoting classic-style table hockey throughout North America.

Our TACTICS include using CNACTHO simply as a tool for anyone who shares the Vision can come together to cooperate, promote and advance classic-style table hockey across N. America.

-Tactics can include:
• hosting tournaments,
• involving the media,
• contacting and collaborating with local NHL and minor league hockey teams to market and advertise both sports,
• gaining sponsors,
• having NHL players lend themselves to aiding us promote the sport,
• putting messages up on NHL team community Internet chat boards,
• providing classic-style boards to after-school or weekend youth facilities

Food for Thought: Having the best tournament beyond imagination is not the way to achieve the Vision or Mission stated above. Rather, having the best tournament is only one part of what should be a larger strategy.

* Sport is commonly defined as an organized, competitive, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play. It is governed by a set of rules or customs.

In a sport the key factors are the physical capabilities and skills of the competitor when determining the outcome (winning or losing). In contrast, games such as card games and board games, though these could be called mind sports, require only mental skills. - Source Wikipedia.org
