Subject: Peace Corps Indianapolis June Events Coming Soon

      Dear Peace Corps Indianapolis Community,
As we have entered into the first week of June the exciting Peace Corps involvement during the week of June 17th is fast approaching!  The Midwest Peace Corps Office is thrilled to be collaborating with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, community organizations and service minded entities to foster the third goal of Peace Corps which is helping promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.  Over 200,000 thousand Americans have served in the Peace Corps since 1961.  That number is significantly felt in the state of Indiana with 121 women and men currently serving in over 70 countries around the world and 3,121 since 1961!  This is a great achievement to dedicate two plus years of a person’s life to not only serving your country but assisting communities around the world in a global effort of promoting peace and friendship.
A friendly reminder to all those participating in the events taking place the week of the 17th.  Central Indiana Returned Peace Corps Volunteers please contact Project Stepping Stone of Indiana to confirm your involvement in any activities the week of June 17th.  My colleague, Rok Teasley, and I plan to arrive in Indianapolis on Thursday, June 20th to participate in the Project Stepping Stone Career Fair and Mock Interviews.  Followed by community service involvement on Friday, June 21st and that evening there will be a general information session held at the Irvington Branch Library from 4pm to 5:30pm open to the public.  Returned Peace Corps Volunteers please indicate if you are available to serve as a guest speaker at this session.  Saturday we look forward to a another community service collaboration with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis in the form of a mural project.
We hope this mission of service, peace and friendship will accumulate in acknowledgment of Peace Corps awareness night!
I will have limited access to email from June 6th-June17th due to official travel.  All parties involved confirmed and tentative please contact me via email kmasten@...  throughout this time to confirm details before the week of June 17th.  Other contact information is as follows:
