      The latter are used in oil drilling, and preferred for weapons
      because Po wears out. (So does trit in boosters but the HL is
      longer) (Turns out some of the plastics turn to goo and
      need replacing too...)

      So the political question is why someone who claims not to be interested in weapons would study these sources, which are apparently
      only useful as n-generators in weapons.

      But the interesting
      physics is that there are some folks who are generating neutrons
      by compressing hydrides. Its definately not "cold" fusion and its based on equations of state kinda physics. Apparently
      porous dense metal helps the imploding system get dense/hot
      enough for a bit of fusion. See the Chinese paper.
