      > The rise of yet another young table hockey star was completed at the most dynamic, loud, and fan-filled finals of the 10th Toronto Classic!  After several top 4 finishes and also after a recent semi-final win in the Peterborough league over Dave Kraehling... history was made for Dennis Doherty!!!
      >
      > Dennis Doherty defeated Dave Kraehling four games to two in the championship final at the 10th annual Toronto Powerplay2 Classic event Saturday! Sixty-eight players participated in North America's largest table hockey event.

      > This was an amazing day... the top 8 players after the first round all ended up as the top 8 players at the end of the day!  The top dogs really wanted it this year and that meant being at your best all the time!!!  After a perfect first round, Mark, Bernie, and Sid were all undefeated.. . but Mark and Sid got eliminated in the quarter finals... Dave K beat Mark...Greg edged out Sid with a deciding OT goal!.... Bernie beat Danny Saliani.  Dennis defeated Bill Holdcroft.
      >
      > Dennis was the real deal though!!! After trailing in most games with Greg Peden in the semi-finals,  Dennis just kept looking cooler and fresher with each game.. it seemed that if Greg took a lead, you knew Dennis would win!  Greg is the most consistent PP2 champ of the last 10 years, making it to the finals EVERY time! Dennis was awesome...
      >
      > Greg defeated Bernie for bronze, as Dave K battled league rival Dennis yet again ... with the same result!  Dennis Doherty won his first championship. .. and a 23 year old table hockey star has risen to the top!

      > Amazing day with lots of beer, crazy ballon popping raffle, TV coverage, DJed music, art displays... wow, I was left overwhelmed!  A big thanks to the crowd...we had over 20 people stay for the finals!  That is a testament to the dedication of the Toronto table hockey crowd.
