What about a ventilator dependent patient?? That one procedure will

        Dianna:

The ventilator "procedure" has an ICD-9-CM, Volume 3 code (procedure
volume). So the CPT-4 code still doesn't come into play. Even though there
is a CPT-4 code that describes ventilator use, CPT-4 codes are not used in
any way, shape or form for DRG's. There are plenty of procedures that affect
the DRG and its' payment, but they are all ICD-9-CM procedure codes!

        Hope that clarifies,

          Hello.

Does anyone know where I can get a list of the most
used CPT codes for each medical area and the most used
CPT codes in general for each age group.

Also, does anyone know how or if Diagnosis-related
groups (DRG's) relate to CPT codes or ICD-9

          Thanks.
