Here's a late message from Robert McNab to OrangeCountyBirding from today:

At 5:40P, the alternate-plumaged (female) Lesser Sand-Plover was refound resting and preening in pickleweed-type vegetation near the edge of a shallow pond. The bird was found a short distance away from the original sighting location, just beyond the small pond WEST of the gulch. If you start at the normal vantage point on the hill east of the gulch overlooking the ponds below, and nearer the Harriet Wieder parking lot, you may also want to check this other location. Walk along the fenceline/pipeline towards the beach through the gulch and up the hill from the gulch until you can see the west pond clearly. The bird remained in this new location until at least 6:30P, when we left; 10 other birders were enjoying the bird at that time. Good luck! Hope it stays until tomorrow. Thanks Brian for finding the bird and getting the word out quickly!

FYI, Harriet Wieder Regional Park is on SeapoinStDr. just east of PCH in Huntington Beach, between Garfield and PCH. This park and the grassy bluffs immediately below and to the west overlook the south end of the Bolsa Chica basin. GoogleMap Huntington Beach and the park is shown.
