      > Hi John,
      > Heres more info on the Upland Sandpiper spotted by Karen Zumwalt on N Waverly. I sent you a Google map with location marked. (The gps reading on my iphone wasnt useful). I think N Waverly is technically in Linden. Location is about 1.3 miles south of Flood Rd on Waverly Rd. There is a residence off the road on the west side of road and a silver metal pipe gate just south on the east side of the road just past the peak of the hill. On the east side of the fence is bare ground firebreak? The sandpiper was on the east side behind the silver gate on the bare ground (where I got first photos at 3:15 pm). It ran along the edge of the grass on east side of bare dirt and flushed (also vocalized in flight) going north about 100. We moved the car up, more photos. It flew back south, across the clearing by gate and dropped into the grass about 50 east of fence and about the same distance south of the gate clearing. We could not locate it in the grass. I did see a bird flying west, on the west side of road sort of toward the residence (with really brief vocalization) that made me think it could have been the sandpiper, but not sure because I did not see it cross the road. Unable to get focused photo of that bird.

      > It did seem to be fond of the clear area of the gate best place to look I think. Thanks for confirming id. Ill add more photos later.
