      Hi Birders

You are cordially invited to attend Los Angeles Audubon Society's
monthly meeting, 7:30pm, Wednesday May 12, 2010 in Plummer Park,
7335 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046, room 1 in the
Community Hall. Refreshments will be served at the bookstore after
      the presentation.

Kurt Leuschner, Associate Professor of Natural Resources at College
of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, has completed The Palms to
Pines Birding and Nature Trail map. Almost two years in the making,
the "Palms to Pines Birding and Nature Trail" map was made possible
by a grant from Southern California Edison to the Friends of the
Desert Mountains. It highlights ten of the best-known birding sites
and natural wonders that make this area unique. All 10 stops are
within a relatively short drive from the trails starting point at the
Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument visitor center
      in Palm Desert.

This Anna's decided to build a nest just 8 ft. from a colleague's bedroom
window. So I was able to be very close while still staying inside and
        not bothering her.

Please let me know if you see a newspaper that decides to run the
        photo. It would
be fun to have a paper copy of an AP credit.
