The offshore Marbled Murrelet crew saw what is probably was the same
individual Long-billed Murrelet two days (8/6-7) in a row near the mouth of
the Smith River. It was a bird in mostly breeding plumage and was about
1600 meter from shore the first day. The coordinates of yesterday's
      sighting are 41.94326, -124.22988. Today's sighting was at 41.97029,
-124.23068. That puts these sightings just under 2 miles apart.

Also of interest and definitely more chaseable were two LBMUs reported from
Crescent City Harbor this evening. Call 707-822-5666 for details and for
update if they are seen again.
