Patricia Winters, President of the California Bat Conservation Fund
Great pollinators for lots of fruit! Our local Little Brown Bat eat 600 insects per hour and their heart beat 1,000 x per minute. They produce one young per year. Bats see well and can smell! Ca. has 24 of the 900 species. Sonoma's bat population is an important asset on many levels. This program is dedicated to learning about the preservation, conservationist and rehabilitation of bats. ($5 donation)
