Just passing the word on from the Central Valley listserv. Today a
bunch of us enjoyed some gulls found by Todd Easterla at the Davis
      Wastewater Treatment Plant.

      adult SLATY-BACKED GULL
      2nd winter LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL
      several GLAUCOUS GULLS
plus a Western, lots of Thayer's and Gl-W, and Herring, Calif, and
Ring-billed made for 9 species of gulls on the levee that separates
the western and middle ponds at the treatment plant. All visible from
the road near Rds 28H and 105. Probably best in the afternoon when
the birds come in to rest.

The glaucoides Iceland Gull and the adult Lesser Black-backed have not
been seen for a week or two.

      all for now,
