The Burrowing Owl Consortium (BOC) will be held on February 14, 2008, from
0900 to 1700 hours at the Palmer Auditorium in Brawley, California. The
BOC features well known speakers such as Geoff Holroyd, Courtney Conway,
Jeff Manning, and Lynn Trulio. These speakers have spent years
researching and studying burrowing owls in California. Recent research and
surveys will be presented including such topics as: Imperial Irrigation
District's Survey Results (2006), Statewide Survey Results (1995-2006),
Burrowing Owl Active Release Success in Arizona (2004-2006), and others.

The Salton Sea Festival will also be held in conjunction with the BOC on
February 15 and 16, 2008. The Festival features birding tours to the
Salton Sea, Algodones Dunes, and other well known birding hot spots of the
      Imperial Valley.

Palmer Auditorium is located at 480 North Imperial Avenue, Brawley,
      California.
