All -- I checked in with Doug Aguillard and he approved this posting
on a position available at the Lab of Ornithology. The Lab is looking
for someone with superior birding skills -- that's why this list is
such a desirable place to post.

This position supervises the use of sounds and video from the
Macaulay Library at the Lab of Ornithology. Supervising a team of six
staff members, this person will direct the fulfillment of requests
for use of the archive's content by researchers, birdwatchers, non-
commercial and commercial entities. Knowledge of bird song is
required for consulting purposes on museum exhibits, research
projects, books, movie sound tracks and other products.

Here's a short description of the job, for more information, visit
      http://www.ohr.cornell.edu/jobs/index.html

The Multimedia Asset Manager Directs and supervises the Media
Distribution team in the Macaulay Library at the Cornell Laboratory
of Ornithology (CLO). This team services all media distribution
requests for audio, video, and still images from the Macaulay Library
collections, and designs, builds, and distributes a variety of small-
scale audio, still image, and multimedia projects produced by the
Macaulay Library. The Multimedia Asset Manager provides project and
budget management and oversight for each of these tasks. This
position reports to and advises the Director, Macaulay Library, on
policy, long-range planning, budgets, and staff matters related to
Macaulay Library output functions. As Production Manager, will meet
regularly with Marketing Director of CLO to ensure effective
coordination and realistic scheduling of contracts negotiated by CLO
Marketing Director and time and effort allocation of Media
      Distribution team.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in the position.
      Thanks
      Mary
