Yellow-throated Warbler and other "Eastern" Warblers on SCI
Just wanted to share some interesting sightings for San Clemente Island
where the Warbler migration is going very strong. In the past few
days a *Yellow-throated
Warbler, Hooded Warbler* and *Northern Parula* have all been found and
photographed. Additionally Northern Waterthrush and Black-and-white
Warblers have been seen. Generally SCI attracts a few Eastern Migrants in
the first week of June, so this movement is not only strong but early!
These birds have been seen among the many hundreds of other Warblers that
are currently passing through. In the past few days we have seen many 100's
of Townsends Warblers and Wilson's Warblers and Lots and lots of Hermit and
Yellow-rumped (myrtle and audubon) Warblers. Yellow,
Nashville, Black-throated Gray, and off-island Orange-crowned Warblers all
are plentiful and are also being regularly found across the island.
