Superb find Jim and excellently captured on film ! Wish we had another one
reach the Southwest of Britain - only ever been one occurrence here - a bird
that was seen for just one day on St Agnes (Isles of Scilly) on 7th October 1987.
The bright white eye-ring on Wood Thrush really is an outstanding feature, as
well as its odd potbellied shape. The richness of the upperparts are truly
stunning and the boldness of the underpart spotting.

On another subject, has anyone seen any Californian Condors recently? Are
there any reliable winter stake-outs this year? Also, anyone been lucky enough to
stumble on Mountain Quails in recent weeks. Hoping to be over in December or
      January.

All the very best and good birding always
