Red-faced Warbler in Orange County
For the past 2 days (at least), there has been a Red-faced Warbler at
Canyon Park in Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
It was discovered by Robb Hamilton Wednesday morning, and probably 50
or so birders have been able to view the individuals. The bird is
very active. It tends to be solitary and does call. This morning
when I arrived about 9:15 am, the bird had just been seen in Sycamores
along the parking lot. It soon disappeared, only to be refound about
1/2 hour later along the road leading out of the park in Sycamores,
Eucs, and Oaks along the dirt trail paralleling the road.
