      Yesterday morning 9/5, Mike Rogers found a juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpiper
      in Alviso, Santa Clara County. It was seen by other birders up until 6:30pm.
      The bird was seen primarily in the SE corner of New Chicago Marsh and on the
      levee between this area of the marsh and salt pond A16.

      Directions:

      Go to the Don Edwards Environmental Education Center (EEC) in Alviso. Walk
      out to the salt ponds past the nature center-- walk all the down the levee
      (salt pond will be on your right) to the end. The bird was seen feeding on
      top of this levee as you reach the end -- RR track will be ahead of you,
      separated by a small channel; New Chicago Marsh is on your left. Look down
      in to the pickleweed, etc. It forages among the plants in the marsh or on
      top of or the sides of the levee.
