      Apparently the Lesser Sand-Plover was not seen at McKinleyville today, but
      an interesting video of the bird taken by Sean McAllister yesterday is also
      available via the above link. Both broadband and dialup versions of the
      video are offered.

      Directions to the site are as follows: From the Blue Lake exit on Highway 299, take Blue Lake Boulevard east towards Blue Lake. Turn right onto Greenwood

        Directions to the site are as follows:

        From the Blue Lake exit on Highway 299, take Blue Lake Boulevard east towards Blue Lake. Turn right onto Greenwood Avenue (the first right past the roundabout). Go five blocks and bear left onto Railroad Avenue, just before the tracks. In a couple of blocks, bear right on Hatchery Road towards the Industrial Park. Before the river, turn right onto Taylor Way. Park where the pavement ends and take the path at the end of the chain-link fence south towards the river. At the river levee, turn right and start listening!
